Dr Srikanth Iyengar completed his radiology training in the Peninsula training scheme and subsequently pursued specialist training in cardiac radiology at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

In 2012, he was appointed as a consultant at Birmingham City and Sandwell Hospital NHS Trust, where he established the cardiac CT service. Later, in 2013, he joined Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospital (Frimley Health).

His primary clinical interests lie in chest and cardiac radiology, and he has spearheaded the development of cardiac CT and MRI at Wexham Park and Heatherwood hospitals. Additionally, he is interested in improving diagnostic pathways for lung cancer and currently serves as the lead for the CT service at Wexham.

Dr Iyengar’s research and teaching interests encompass high-definition cardiac CT, radiation and contrast dose optimisation for cardiac and thoracic CT, as well as spectral CT imaging for thoracic disease.

At present, Dr Iyengar holds the position of Consultant Radiologist at Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospital (Frimley Health NHSFT).

Dr Maudgil has been a Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist at Wexham Park Hospital, Frimley Health Foundation Trust since 2003. He graduated from Guy’s Hospital, was a Research Registrar at the National Hospital for Neurology, Queen Square, and trained in Radiology at the Royal Free Hospital.

He performs a wide range of general body imaging and is level 2 accredited in Cardiac CT. He has served as Clinical Director of Radiology and Lead for Interventional Radiology.

Dr Maudgil was Chair of the British Society of Interventional Radiology’s Communications Committee and served on the Council of the BSIR.   He has been elected to Faculty Board of the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and is the  RCR Chair for the Oxford Region.

David has a strong interest in cost effectiveness. He has an MBA and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Technology Assessment and has served for NICE (National Institute for Clinical and Healthcare Excellence), as a Fellow, Senior Advisor and Expert Member of Healthcare Technology Assessment Committee A.

Dr Maudgil also has an interest in teaching, having been the Departmental Clinical Tutor, and has a PGCE in Medical Education. He lectures on Imaging Courses.

Kim Rajappan is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and the Manor Hospital in Oxford, part of the Nuffield Health group. He is involved in the investigation and treatment of patients with all forms of arrhythmia problems including ablation and device therapy. His research and clinical interests are focussed on catheter ablation of complex cardiac arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. He is an active member of the British Heart Rhythm Society and an Executive Committee member of the Arrhythmia Alliance. He is Program Director for Heart Rhythm Congress, the largest meeting for healthcare professionals in heart rhythm disorders in the UK. He has published over 80 peer reviewed papers, lectures nationally and internationally, and is one of the editors of the Oxford Handbook of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Catheter Ablation. He travels internationally to help teach Electrophysiologists in other countries new techniques in ablation, particularly advanced cardiac mapping of arrhythmias and implantation of ICD/CRT devices.

Mr Mario Petrou received his MBBS from University College London in 1990 and his PhD in 1996. From 1997 to 2002, he worked as a cardiothoracic trainee at the Royal Brompton Hospital before becoming a consultant cardiac surgeon in 2002.

In 2011, he moved to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he was Head of Programme for Complex Aortic Surgery and Clinical Lead for Cardiac Surgery before returning to the Royal Brompton Hospital in 2019.
